Trinity School Scholars - Munch with Music - 3 December 2025

We were very lucky to have a glimpse into the future when four Trinity School Scholars gave a Munch with Music concert on the piano.

Sitting among the Festival Christmas Trees and listening to the scholars play was a rare delight. We wish them all well for wherever their music talent takes them.

Munch with Music - December 2025

The next Munch with Music will be held in the church on 3rd December 2025 featuring Trinity Steinway Scholars & Friends.

You are invited to bring your own ‘Munch’.

Admission is free, donations are welcome.

Coffee, tea and biscuits from 12:15pm, with the performance starting at 12:45pm and lasting about 45 minutes.

The following Munch will be on 4th February 2026, with Double Duos.

Advent Study Day

Date: Saturday December 13th
Timings: 10.30am to 4pm
Location: St Peter and St Paul Chaldon
Lunch: A simple lunch of bread and soup will be provided with a suggested donation of £5 for Embrace the Middle East.
Content: WE will be sharing and reflecting upon the stories of Elizabeth and Mary as reimagined by Paula Gooder in her book 'Women of the Nativity'

The day will be an opportunity to slow down,hear and share stories and consider the responses of two major female figures in the bible to God's call.

The church will provide warm and comfortable shelter but we will also have the firepit going outside and we will end with a simple act of worship.

Caterham Valley Christmas Market Tea Room

We're running a Tea Room on 29th November in the Church Hall (Clareville Road), that will be open from 10.45am to 3.45pm.

On the same day there is the Game of Chance in the precincts for charities and the Christmas Market in Croydon Road.

The lights are being switched on around 4.30pm.

Christmas Tree Festival at St John's Church - 3rd to 7th December

Our first Christmas Tree Festival will run from the 3rd to the 7th of December. It will be in the church and in aid of the church accessibility project.

To view the trees and to vote for your favourite will be:

Free for children (15 and under)
£2 for adults (16 and over)
